First Taste Resources
First Taste is a small arts educational charity that promotes arts educational and stimulative activities for frail older people in nursing and residential care homes and day care centres principally, but not exclusively, in the Derbyshire Dales.
The organisation has now produced two new resources:
a) a CD of chair-based exercises which has been produced specifically for use by care staff working with older people with dementia and features well known songs and tunes performed by First Taste's music tutors with the voice over by Physiotherapist, Angela Hill, leading the simple chair based exercises.
Cost £8
b) a DVD "Where'er You Walk" a reminiscence film of sights and sounds to stimulate and soothe, had been produced specifically for use by care staff working with older people with dementia and can also be used to support care staff training in reminiscence. The film is divided into four sections: spring, summer, autumn & winter and has a range of domestic, wildlife, workplace and leisure sequences, much of it shot across Derbyshire and features familiar music and well known poems and prose.
Cost £10
