Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary 2012 – deadline 8 May
The Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary 2012 is now open for entries.
The bursary is available to disabled mid-career visual artists. This year’s winner will be awarded £5,000 and a three-month residency at Camden Arts Centre, London.
Now in its fifth year, the Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary is open to artists working in a disability or deaf arts context as well as from artists whose work is not focused on their disability.
The bursary was set up in memory of Adam Reynolds (1959-2005), a sculptor, curator, teacher and a leading figure in the disability arts sector. It aims to provide time, space and support for artists to develop their creative practice without the pressure to deliver a particular outcome.
The application pack is available at w: www.shapearts.org.uk
Shape co-ordinates the Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary and will also be touring an exhibition profiling the work of the first four recipients of the bursary around the country in 2012/13.
